Bribe From Ganja Smugglers: Police ASI, Two Home guards Arrested In Malkangiri

Malkangiri:  An assistant sub-inspector and two home guards were arrested for allegedly releasing a ganja (dry cannabis) laden vehicle after taking bribe from the peddlers in Malkangiri district.

All the three cops are from Mudulipada Police Station.

One Sub-Inspector has also been reportedly placed under suspension in connection with the incident, sources said.

As per reports, all the police personnel had intercepted a vehicle in which ganja was being illegally transported, some four days back, during a routine checking at Khairiput. It was alleged that the police personnel had released the vehicle after taking bribe.

After the matter came to light, Malkangiri SP suspended the concerned sub-inspector while the ASI and two home guards have been arrested after a case was registered in this connection.
