Atal Bihari Vajpayee is one of the most revered leaders in the history of Indian politics who was an orator, poet and so much more that a political leader. First, before joing politics Vajpayee was a journalist and worked for some known news papers like Rashtradharma of RSS ideologue Deendayal Upadhyay, Panchjanya and dailies like Veer Arjun and Swadesh Second, Vajpayee was inclined towards communism but Babasaheb Apte’s ideology influenced him to join Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh in 1939. Third, at the age of 18-years, Vajpayee was an active participant of Quit India Movement and was also arrested along with his elder brother for 23 days in 1942. Fourth. In 1957, then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was so influenced by Vajpayee’s eloquence in Hindi that he said, “This young man one day will become the country's prime minister." And the prediction became true after 40 years in 1990. Fifth, he was the first person to deliver speech in Hindi in the United Nations General Assembly as India’s External Affairs Minister. Sixth, Vajpayee was elected to India’s Lok Sabha om 9 occasions and was elected to Rajya Sabha twice.
