Finally, the National Investigation Agency has arrested the key conspirator in the Rameshwaram Café Blast case. The arrest was done after NIA conducted raids on 12 locations in Karnataka, 5 in Tamil Nadu and one in Uttar Pradesh. It is pertinent to mention here that the blast had left several customers and staffers injured apart from causing extensive damage to the popular café. The key conspirator namely Muzammil Shareef extended logistic support to the other two accused Mussavir Shazeeb Hussain and Abdul Matheen Taha. As per reports, Mussavir Shazeeb Hussain allegedly left behind a bag in the cafe which had an IED in it. The agency said efforts are underway to nab the accused. The agency in its statement said that they conducted raids on property belonging to all the three suspects in the case and seized electronic devices along with some cash.Eight days after the blast, the Rameshwaram Cafe resumed operations on March 9, with enhanced security measures. Metal detectors have been installed at the entrance, and customers undergo screening using handheld detectors to ensure the safety of patrons and staff.
