BJP stalwart Lal Krishna Advani to be conferred with the prestigious Bharat Ratna award.
PM Narendra Modi took to his official X handle and announced the news. PM Modi addressed Advani as one of the most respected statesmen of his time in his post. It is pertinent to mention that Advani has served as the Deputy PM during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Government. In 1990, Advani played a pivotal role in propelling the movement of Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya. He started a ‘Rath Yatra’ from Somnath in Gujarat to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh to promote construction of Ram Temple.
