While experts have warned of a possible arrival of the third wave of Covid-19 in India, Odisha Health Services Director, Bijay Mohapatra on Monday (Sept 27) opined that there are less chances of its severity in Odisha.

The senior health official stated that even though the World Health Organization (WHO) has predicted the pandemic turning an endemic in India soon, the government is closely monitoring the cases in the state.

Citing that the festive season is round the corner, Mohapatra asserted that people must not become complacent and urged everyone to continue adhering to the Covid appropriate behaviour to prevent any untoward situation.
