Tata Power Company Ltd said some of its IT systems were impacted by the cyber attack.
Anil Prakash Dhal, a businessman from Kendrapada said, “CUST and ED charges are added in our electricity bill. We are clueless for how many years we will have to pay for those charges.”
As per the allegations, the company is deceiving the customers through pro rata billing which ensures that you don't get charged for a service you haven’t used. Customers are made to pay bill for 25-27 days instead of 30 days.
Tata Power authorities claimed that last year the company failed to do maintenance work owing to covid and cyclone. Maintenance work is in progress now. There will be no frequent power cuts in future.”
As if the soaring temperature was not enough, the hour-long frequent unscheduled power cuts have made lives miserable.
