The students alleged that some teachers were repeatedly threatening them with the award of poor marks in the exams when they raised voice against the latter’s ill-treatment towards the girl students. One of the two teachers in question allegedly made abusive remarks while the other misbehaved with the girl students.

Students & Teachers School Protest Headmaster’s Transfer

Students and teachers at Guchaguda Government High School under Raighar Block in Nabarangpur, launched a sit-in protest in front of the school on Friday (Dec 17) demanding the administration to revoke their headmaster’s transfer order. As per reports, the concerned headmaster, Bijay Maharana, was recently transferred from the school.

Plus 2 Science Stream Students Stage Protest

Several Plus 2 students at Adarsh Vidyalaya in Kalahandi’s Kalampur locked up the school and staged protest on Wednesday (Dec 15) demanding appointment of more teachers. As per reports, the students studying in the Science stream alleged that despite reopening of the school for Plus 2 students, only one teacher has been present for the entire stream.
