A Low Pressure Area still persists over north Telangana and neighbourhood with the associated cyclonic circulation. Under the influence, coastal Odisha and many places in the districts of interior Odisha received moderate rainfall while heavy showers lashed parts of Balasore, Ganjam and Khordha.
With the ongoing withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some parts of Northwest India currently, the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a 'Yellow Warning' in 15 districts of Odisha for the next 24 hours.
Though Odisha is passing through a spell of deficit rain, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershower. The met office has issued a 'yellow warning' for thundershowers and lightning over 11 districts of the state in the next 24 hours.
