Good news for travel enthusiasts. The fourth edition of the popular beach festival-Eco Retreat- at Konark in Puri district is all se to kick off on December 1 this year. The event will continue till March 15, 2023.

Services at two eco retreat locations are yet to start four days after the formal inauguration owing to incomplete works while poor tents, bed and toilet facilities in the high-cost tents have left some visitors livid. 

Eco-retreat programme inaugurated at Konark, Satakosia, Bhitarakanika, Daringibadi, Hirakud, Pati Sonapur and Koraput.

The State government on April 2 this year had rolled out the water sports on the right dyke of Hirakud Dam near Jhankarani temple in a bid to boost tourism at the popular destination. 

Last year, an eco-retreat camp was started at Daringbadi and it got an encouraging response.
