Sweet Stall Owner Murder Case: Commissionerate Police Take Prime Accused On 2-Day Remand

Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Tuesday took accused Rajkumar Behera on a 2-day remand in connection with the brutal murder of the sweet shop owner in Samantarapur area in Bhubaneswar.

Rajkishore alias Raja had surrendered before the court of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) in Bhubaneswar on October 9.

As per reports, Rajkishore had executed the murder of the sweet stall owner, Shambhu on October 4. Rajkishore, a supari killer, had received Rs 10,000 advance out of the Rs 50,000 contract amount to execute the crime.

The victim was chased and hacked to death with some sharp weapons on October 4. The entire incident was captured in CCTV cameras installed near the spot.
