Bhubaneswar: Two more accused have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a sweet stall owner in Samantrapur square of the state’s capital last week, Commissionerate Police informed on Monday.

Earlier, Commissionerate Police had arrested 6 accused in connection with the case.

According to the police, the accused will be interrogated whether they had taken a contract to kill Sambhu Sahu or they have any alleged involvement in the case.

‘We are investigating the business rivalry angle behind this murder. We are about to reach the conclusion to this case very soon’, informed police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi.

Sources said that Commissionerate Police may hold a curtain-raiser presser today regarding this case.

Reports said that Sambhu Sahu, the sweet stall owner, had been brutally hacked to death in broad daylight on October 4 by two assailants. One of the accused in the case, identified as Raja, had earlier surrendered before the court. Raja’s parents and grandfather have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the incident.

Raja had surrendered before the court of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) in Bhubaneswar on October 8.
