Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Wednesday reported highest single-day recovery with 3343 people recuperating from the disease in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of recoveries in the State surged to 62,813.

As per the Health and Family Welfare Department, highest 732 COVID patients recovered from Khordha, 261 from Sundergarh, 245 from Bhadrak, 238 from Ganjam, 217 from Rayagada, 181 from Cuttack, 155 from Balesore, 127 from Sambalpur, 121 from Puri, 119 from Koraput, 112 from Mayurbhanj and 103 from Sonepur districts.

Similarly, 84 persons recuperate from Boudh district, 78 from Bargarh, 68 from Kandhamal, 65 from Bolangir, 60 from Nayagarh, 56 from Kalahandi, 54 from Malkangiri, 49 from Dhenkanal, 36 from Nabarangpur, 34 from Keonjhar, 32 from Jajapur, 27 from Gajapati, 22 from Anugul, 20 from Jharsuguda, 19 from Kendrapara, 16 from Jagatsinghpur, 11 from Nuapada and 1 from Deogarh.

On Tuesday, 2546 COVID-19 positive patients recovered from the disease. It was for the third consecutive day that the State posted over 2000-plus COVID-19 recoveries.

Earlier today, the State also reported its highest single-day spike of 3371 coronavirus cases taking the cumulative caseload to 87602. The death toll also rose to 441 with 13 more deaths.
