Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Tuesday reported record COVID-19 recoveries after 2546 positive patients recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours.

A record 2519 COVID-19 patients had recovered in Odisha yesterday. It is for the third consecutive day that the State posted over 2000-plus COVID-19 recoveries.

With biggest single-day recoveries, the total COVID-19 recovery tally in Odisha has now reached 59470.

As per Health and Family Welfare Department, highest 627 COVID-19 patients recovered from Khordha district, 266 from Ganjam, 143 from Nayagarh, 141 from Puri, 112 from Rayagada, 104 from Koraput,99 from Bhadrak and 98 from Cuttack.

Earlier, 2,752 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Odisha in the last 24 hours pushing the State’s tally to 84,231. Khordha reported highest 423 cases followed by Cuttack (247), Jajpur (217), Ganjam (212), Rayagada (177) and Koraput (174).

Apart from the new cases, nine more patients succumbed to COVID-19 on Tuesday. The COVID-19 death toll in the State has now reached 428.
