Bhubaneswar: The total number of Covid-19 recovery cases in Odisha has crossed 7400-mark as a record 401 patients recovered on Thursday, informed the State Health & Family Welfare department.

It's so far the highest single-day recovery in the State. Of the recoveries reported today, the highest 100 patients recovered from Ganjam, 67 from Gajapati, 42 from Cuttack, 32 from Jajpur, 19 from Deogarh, 18 from Koraput, 15 from Khurda, 14 from Bargarh, 14 from Bhadrak, 12 from Balasore, 10 from Keonjhar and 10 from Malkangiri districts.

Similarly, 9 COVID patients recuperated from Jagatsinghpur, 7 each from Jharsuguda and Mayurbhanj, 6 from Kandhamal, 5 each from Nayagarh and Sambalpur, 4 from Nabarangpur, 3 from Kendrapara and 2 from Dhenkanal.

The total number of COVID-19 recovery cases in Odisha now stands at 7407.

On the other hand, Odisha's COVID-19 tally breached the 11,000-mark today after the State recorded its highest single-day spike of 577 new Coronavirus cases. Besides, four persons succumbed to the disease - three persons in Ganjam district, one in Bhadrak.

The total number of person succumbed to the disease in the State so far is 52.

This was the third consecutive day that the State recorded Covid-19 cases over 500. The new 577 cases detected from 22 districts on Thursday have now taken the overall positive tally in the State to 11201.
