Koraput: Crossing all limits of brutality, a man allegedly threw his pregnant wife from a moving train here at Rauli railway station leaving the to-be born baby dead.
According to reports, the couple, identified as Surak Kerketa and Sarojini Kerketa from Rourkela, was returning from their relative’s place in Koraput. During the journey when the man started talking to another woman, his wife confronted and out of anger the man started arguing with his wife. Out of rage Sarak then pushed her out of the train.
The profusely bleeding woman fell down on the track and was taken to a hospital in Rayagada by the railway police where doctors declared the yet to-be born baby dead.
The woman, who suffered multiple injuries is being treated at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused who is still at large.
