Kendrapara: Protesting the rising death toll at Sishu Bhavan in Cuttack, BJP today staged a protest in front of the district headquarters hospital in Kendrapara.
BJP members alleged callousness on the part of the chief minister and the Health minister and rued the deterioration of healthcare services in the district as well the State.
Protestors also burnt the effigy of the Health minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak. Moreover, BJP members also submitted a memorandum addressed to the Governor to the CDMO.
Notably, the protest was organized as a part of the State-wide stir launched by the saffron party today.
Commenting on the protest, the State's Health minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak said, “I have been saying from the beginning that BJP and its candidate, who fought last general election from the constituency, are politicising the matter. On health issues, they should not have done this."
