Malkangiri: One villager out of the two abducted persons was killed by Maoists suspecting him to be a police informer in the district.
Body of the deceased, Dambaru Sagadia, a native of Mundaguda village, was found with throat slit near the Kansariputa Chhak on Monday.
Notably, on Friday night, around armed 15-20 red rebels raided the village and took Sina Madhi and Dambaru Sagadia as hostages from their houses. However, Madhi later managed to escape.
Source said posters were found near the body of Sagadia mentioning that the villager has faced the consequence as he was passing off information about Maoists to police.
