Bhubaneswar: Five persons died and 22 others were injured in two different road accidents in the State this evening.
While two persons lost their lives in a bus accident at Pittala square in Aska of Ganjam district, 20 others were injured in the incident.
The injured have been shifted to Berhampur medical college and hospital for treatment.
Sources said, Berhampur-bound Radhakrushna bus form Aska hit another bus Akbari head on which was coming from opposite direction. The collision was so severe that two passengers died on the spot while 20 others received multiple injuries.
In another incident, three bikers lost their lives near Dhenkikot in Keonjhar district when the bike in which they were travelling hit another bike coming from opposite direction. Two persons have been injured in the incident.
