Rayagada: In a nerve-wracking incident, a truck fell off an over bridge on to a moving train on Friday night in Rayagada killing one person on the spot.
The accident occurred on Chatikana over bridge in Rayagada when a truck going from Rayagada towards Muniguda lost control and fell off the bridge. Unfortunately, a goods train was passing on the tracks below at the time. The truck landed on the train and was severely mangled.
According to sources, the helper of the truck was killed in the incident. Moreover, the driver of the truck was seriously injured and has been shifted to Berhampur hospital.
Meanwhile, train services have been affected on one track of the railway line where the ill-fated truck landed.
