Bhubaneswar: The total COVID-19 recovery tally in Odisha reached 24,482 after a record 1409 positive patients recovered in the last 24 hours. Odisha has recorded 1000-plus recoveries for two consecutive days now after 1119 patients recuperated on Monday.

A highest of 258 patients recuperated from coronavirus infection from Ganjam district followed by Khurda (218), Rayagada (128) and Sundergarh (122) today, informed Health and Family Welfare Department.

As many as 121 COVID-19 patients also recovered from Puri, Gajapati (120), Koraput (84), Cuttack (68), Balasore (58), Nabarangpur (34), Kandhamal (30), Jajpur (25), Malkangiri (24), Keonjhar (19), Bolangir (16), Bargarh (12), Kendrapara (12), Jharsuguda (11), Nayagarh (10), Boudh (9) and Nuapara (8).

Apart from that, 7 patients recuperated from COVID-19 in Mayurbhanj, 5 from Dhenkanal, 4 from Bhadrak, 2 each from Angul & Jagatsinghpur, 1each from Deogarh and Kalahandi.

Earlier on Monday, 1119 COVID-19 positive patients had recuperated from the disease crossing the 1000 mark for the first time.
