Bhubaneswar: A six-member Central team, which arrived in Odisha on a two-day visit yesterday, will visit flood-affected Jajpur and Puri district on Thursday to assess the damages.

According to sources, the team led by Union Home Ministry joint secretary Praveen Vashista will discuss with the farmers and district collectors about the loss incurred by the floods.

After the assessment, the team will return to Bhubaneswar and hold a wrap up meeting with officials of the state government under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary this evening at the Lok Seva Bhawan.

In the meeting, the state government will submit a detailed report on the flood damage. The team after reviewing the report will prepare the final report and submit it to the Home Ministry.
