Miscreants Create Fake Facebook Account Of Odisha DIG Anup Sahoo

Bhubaneswar: Think twice before you send a friend request to someone or chat with some celebrity, politician or even a senior police official on social media platforms as such accounts may be fake.

A case in point is today's (October 11) incident when DIG Intelligence Anup Sahoo warned people not to accept friend request from a fake account created in his name.

Some unidentified miscreants have reportedly created a fake Facebook account in the name of Sahoo.

Though the fake account has been created in the name of some Anupam Kumar Sahoo, the miscreants have uploaded some of the photographs of the senior official.

Besides, the profile picture of the account has the IPS officer's picture which could easily mislead people. Therefore, Anup Sahoo, who was earlier posted as Bhubaneswar DCP, has urged people to be cautious about such mischievous elements on social media.
