Berhampur: The district authorities of Ganjam on Sunday announced to arrange buses to carry students to their examination centres for the JEE- Mains exam. The move comes a day after Odisha government declared to ensure hassle-free movement and accommodation facilities to candidates during the exams.

As per a tweet by the district administration, buses will ply from ITI Berhampur to Bhubaneswar for JEE exam. It will leave from ITI at 12.30 PM on 31st August.

A nodal officer has been assigned to supervise the operations. For availing the benefit the Nodal officer can be contacted at 94382 93909 till 30th August evening 8 PM.

Similarly, the students appearing for JEE exams having centre in Berhampur can get facility for stay in the city too. The Ganjam district authorities have provided a detailed list of hotels and their respective phone numbers for the students to contact.

With less than 48 hours left for the much-awaited JEE (Main) exam, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on Sunday appealed MLAs to extend all possible help to candidates in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and flood situation in the State.

It is pertinent to mention here that Odisha government has withdrawn Covid19 lockdown and shutdown restrictions in the entire State for 12 days in two phases to allow smooth conduct of the annual NEET (UG) & JEE (Main) examinations.
