‘Drug Trafficking In Bengaluru Has Odisha Links’

Bhubaneswar: At a time when the whole country is grappling with drug menace, Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Panth has claimed that the drug trafficking in the Capital city of Karnataka has Odisha links.

After seizing more than 13 quintals of Ganja from a drug peddling gang en-route Gulbarga of Karnataka to Bengaluru, the city Police informed that the drug trafficking has links with Odisha.

“The 46 bags of Ganja sized today have Odisha links. An investigation into the trafficking and its links is underway,” said Kamal Panth.

He further said, “The seized Ganja was first sent to Telangana from Odisha and then brought to Bengaluru in smaller consignments. These are generally sent in trucks carrying vegetable and other materials. For the first time, the whole stock of Ganja has been seized by the police.”

The Bengaluru Police seized the 46 packets of Ganja weighing around 13 quintals in a vegetable-laden truck in Bengaluru on Thursday.

So far, six persons have been arrested and a case has been filed in Seshadripuram Police Station in connection with the drug trafficking.

Wonderful effort by Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Panth.

It will be great if the Commissioner Saab also brings from Gulbarga to Bangalore, the missing 8+ yr old daughter, wife of an IT Professional from Bangalore who have been missing since April 2018 from Bangalore. Kidnappers demanded a ransom amount of INR 30-40 laks 2+yrs back. They also threatened to attack the kid as well as the father. When the child asked the father of the child to take her back to Bangalore, at least the Hotel in Gulbarga or at least out of the compound for a walk in April 2019, they did not allow. They have been shackled in a compound in Gulbarga along with dogs, It looks like they have attacked the kid as seen in a photo 3+ months ago. Do not know where the kid, her mom are, what is their condition etc. Bangalore cops should have rescued them 2+ yrs back
