Bhubaneswar: As many as 15 hospital staff, five police personnel and three employees of a media house were among the 128 new Covid-19 cases that were reported from Bhubaneswar in the past 24 hours.
According to the information shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), an employee of a central government hospital linked with previous positive case has tested positive for the virus. While 4 employees each of two private hospitals tested positive, two other private hospitals in the city reported infection among 4 of their employees.
Moreover, a 36-year-old male and a 36-year-old female of two government hospitals are among the new positive cases.
All the five police staff (42-year-old, 34-year-old, 30-year-old, 50-year-old and 32-year-old) that tested positive for coronavirus are linked with previous positive cases.
Besides, a 35-year-old CRPF staff with travel history to Secunderabad has also tested positive for the virus.
Three employees of a media house have also tested positive in the past 24 hours.
On the other hand, the Capital City registered 94 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 1433. The total case tally in the Capital City now stands at 2,735 including 1,285 active cases while the death toll is at 15.
