COVID-19 Recoveries Cross 7000-Mark In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The total number of COVID-19 recoveries crossed 7000-mark in Odisha as 303 more coronavirus patients recover from the disease on Wednesday,
It was the highest single day recovery so far. As many as 7006 infected persons have recuperated so far in the State, informed Health and Family Welfare Department.
Of the total recoveries, the highest 120 reported from Ganjam, 46 from Jajpur, 28 from Khurda, 21 from Cuttack, 16 from Keonjhar and 14 from Nayagarh.
Similarly, 9 persons recovered from Nabarangpur, 7 from Puri, 6 from Bargarh, 5 each from Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda and Mayurbhanj, 4 each from Angul and Nuapada, 3 each from Balasore, Kendrapara and Sambalpur and 1 each from Bolangir, Jagatsinghpur, Koraput and Malkangiri districts.
On the other hand, 527 persons tested positive for Covid-19 today- 338 from quarantine centres and 189 from local contacts, informed the State I&PR Department. This is the second consecutive day that Odisha recorded Covid-19 cases over 500-mark.
As per the data shared by the State Health department the highest 215 coronavirus cases have been reported from Ganjam district, Sundargarh comes next with 78 cases, Khurda (50), Balasore (26), Jajpur (25), Bolangir (21), Nayagarh (18), Cuttack (17), Puri (16), Mayurbhanj (10), Keonjhar (7), Koraput (6) and Sonepur 5 cases.
Similarly, four cases each were detected from Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda and Nuapada districts. Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, and Malkangiri reported three cases each, Bhadrak two cases and Angul, Bargarh, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, and Sambalpur reported one each case.
