COVID-19: Bhubaneswar Reports 243 Fresh cases, 357 Recoveries

Bhubaneswar: With 243 persons testing positive for Covid-19 in Bhubaneswar in the last 24 hours, the total number of infected persons in the Odisha capital climbed to 26779 on Friday.

As per the information provided by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), out of the total 243 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, 175 were local contact cases while 68 cases were reported from quarantine.

The smart city also reported 357 Covid-19 recoveries on Friday, taking the total number of cured persons to 23523.

Bhubaneswar has 3106 active cases of the coronavirus infections while 129 people have succumbed to the virus so far.

Earlier on Thursday, 253 persons had tested positive for Covid-19 while 299 persons had recuperated in Bhubaneswar.
