Covid-19: Bhubaneswar Reports 253 New Cases

Bhubaneswar: With 253 persons testing positive for Covid-19 in Bhubaneswar in the last 24 hours, the total number of infected persons in the Odisha capital surged to 26,536 on Thursday.

Of the total new cases reported in the last 24 hours, 180 were local contact cases while 73 were quarantine cases, informed the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The State capital also reported 299 Covid-19 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cured persons to 23166.

At present, Bhubaneswar has 3222 active cases of the coronavirus infections while 127 people have succumbed to the virus so far.

As on October 15, Odisha's confirmed cases of coronavirus were at 262011. The active cases in the State stand at 25106 while 235763 persons have recovered from the disease so far. The State also witnessed 1089 Covid-19 related deaths.
