Bhubaneswar: Even as people in Bhubaneswar are still to recover from the shock of the gruesome day-light murder of a sweet’s stall owner a week ago, a video showing an armed miscreant terrorising a family in the heart of the city has come as another example of the lawlessness in the capital city.
As per reports, the miscreant, wielding a sharp weapon recently threatened a family at Sashtrinagar area under Kharavela Nagar police limits. It is alleged that the armed miscreant issued death threats to the family if they dared to step out of their house.
The entire incident has been captured in a CCTV camera.
The miscreant, believed to be in his late 30s, arrived at the spot on a motorcycle. He was carrying the weapon ( a dagger) inside a tennis racket cover.
Though the exact reason why the miscreant resorted to threatening the family is still unclear, the Kharavela Nagar Police later detained him and further investigations are underway.
