Puri: The annual Rath Yatra festival was held across the State today amid religious fervour and gaiety.
Chariots were pulled by enthusiast devotees at the ISKCON temple in Bhubaneswar. The deities were brought to the chariots in procession at around 12 noon.
Besides, Bhubaneswar witnessed chariot pulling of the Trinity at around 12 places.
In Cuttack, Chandini Chowk, Haripur and Dolamundai, car festival was celebrated in presence of Cuttack-Barabati MLA Debasis Samantray and Congress leader Md Moquim.
The Ganjam district administration made elaborate arrangements during the Rath Yatra at Gosaninuagaon, Courtpeta, Goilundi, Khaspa sahi, Sanabazaar and Utkal Ashram. Women pulled Devi Subhadra's chariot in Gosaninuagaon and Courtpeta.
The Airavat Jagannath temple committee at Sector-3 in Rourkela also celebrated Rath Yatra.
