Cuttack: A four-member team of the Medical Council of India (MCI) visited the SCB Medical College and Hospital here today to review the existing infrastructures to see if they are adequate to meet the needs of the increased intake capacity for MBBS course at the college.
The team would inspect various departments and verify some documents for two days. This is the fourth visit of the MCI after the number of MBBS seats in the SCB College increased to 250 from 150.
Later, the team consisting of four professors held a meeting with Principal of SCBMCH Prof Siddharth Dash and other Heads of department.
“As per rules, the MCI team would visit the college five times after the increase of its intake capacity. This is their fourth visit. The team will divide into four groups and would inspect various departments of the college,” Dash said.
