Maut Ka Kuan : Two including show organiser arrested

Jeypore: Following telecast of a video footage showing a stunt biker being hit by a car during the ‘Maut Ka Kuan’ (Wall of Death) show leading to his death in Jeypore on May 13, the district police today arrested two persons including the show organiser.

The police arrested the ‘Maut Ka Kuan’ show’s organiser Chotu Singh and car driver Mohammed Firoze Ansari while holding the duo responsible for the death of the stunt biker.

At a Meena Bazaar near Gandhi Chhak in the town, the stunt biker was critically hurt after being hit by the car during the show on Saturday. He succumbed to his injuries on the way while being taken to the Raipur hospital.

The matter came to the fore after the video footage was telecast on media mounting pressure on the district administration to act.
