Narayanapatna: In yet another incident of Maoists menace, the ultras killed a person by slitting his throat at Birigi village in Koraput district during late night on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Rohini Nachika.
According to sources, almost 30 armed red rebels barged into the house of Rohini, dragged him out and murdered him in front of his wife. From a poster left by the ultras near the dead body, it is ascertained that they have committed the crime suspecting Rohini to be a police informer.
The poster which was written in Telugu indicated that the Maoists were from Koraput- Srikakulam division.
The Maoists have further threatened two other persons in the village of similar consequences if they continue to act as police informers.
Meanwhile, police are investigating the matter and have seized a live bullet from the spot.
