Puri: The district administration has served a one-month notice to Ranjana Gajbhiye, wife of suspended SP Satish Gajbhiye, and three others asking them to vacate government land acquired by them at Badakiapala Mouza under Gop tehsil.

“We had registered encroachment case on illegal possession of 12 acres of government land as per the report of the Revenue Inspector. We had fixed the dates for hearing of the case for the fourth time. The counsel of the opposite party had appeared once for the hearing. But as he did not submit the respnse to the show cause notice, we had to serve the eviction notice. We will take action as per the rules under the Odisha Prevention of Land Encroachment (OPLE) Act,” Gop tehsildar Sunita Behera told media persons.
