CB grills Gouda aide Happy Kar

Cuttack: Crime Branch sleuths on Wednesday grilled Himanshu Kar aka Happy, a government servant, at its headquarters here for his links Motilal Gouda, who is presently lodged at Jharapada jail for his involvement in the fake gazette notification scam.

According to Crime Branch sources, a DCP rank officer is interrogating Kar for his nexus with Gouda. Kar furnished some bank documents and some papers related to contract business in the name his wife and brother during the interrogation, the sources added.

Surprisingly, Kar, who is a working as a grade-III employee at Capital Hospital, has around Rs 2.5 crore in his bank account. The investigating agency is probing the source of this money, besides the monetary transactions of Kar.

A photograph of Kar with Gouda has become the talk of the town. It is suspected that Kar was working as a mediator between Gouda and ministers.
