Kalahandi: Three Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces at Sahaskhol forest under Aampani ghat in the district on Saturday, police said.
Police have seized three revolvers and a gun from their possession.
Sources said the exchange of fire ensued during a combing operation in the area. The security forces retaliated after the Red rebels started firing at them. While three of them were killed on the spot, police suspect that some members of the group escaped into the forest.
