Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police sealed a resto-bar on Infocity Road of the capital city on Sunday for hosting a birthday party flouting social distancing norms and other Covid-19 protocols.

The bar owner has also been served a notice in this regard, said reports.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Commissionerate Police conducted surprise raid in the bar and found a huge gathering partying and dining there. The party attendees were also found violating social distancing guidelines and many were also seen without masks.

In a related incident, the Enforcement Team of BMC and Commissionerate Police conducted raids at Market Building here yesterday and sealed many shops and shopping malls violating the Covid-19 norms.

Earlier In August 28, a restaurant at Puri Bypass road was also sealed by the enforcement squad of BMC for violating COVID-19 guidelines. The restaurant was sealed for hosting a birthday party which was attended by over 60 guests.
