Restaurant Sealed In Bhubaneswar For Hosting Birthday Party, Serving Liquor During COVID-19 Pandemic

Bhubaneswar: A restaurant was sealed by the enforcement squad of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) for violating COVID-19 guidelines.

As per reports, BMC officials conducted a raid on the restaurant at Puri Bypass road. Sources said a birthday party was being organised at the restaurant and it was attended by over 60 guests.

It is alleged that without any trade license, liquor was also allegedly being served at the restaurant.

“Today, we had raided the restaurant where a birthday party was being organised. We have sealed the restaurant as there was a congregation over 60 persons during COVID-19 pandemic,” said Prashant Kumar Panda, BMC Enforcement Inspector.
