The blistering heat wave conditions in Jharsuguda threw normal life out of gear today. With the temperature starting to rise in the morning itself, people preferred to stay inside. People with some urgencies were seen commuting, that too with protective measures. Otherwise, the roads bore a deserted look.

“I have been living in Jharsuguda for the last 14 years. I have never ever experienced such scorching weather. If we step out of the house, we feel breathless. Frequent power cuts are adding to our woes,” said Tarun Kumar Ojha, a Jharsuguda resident.
