Odisha sizzles, Jharsuguda boils at 46.6 degrees Celsius 

Odisha is experiencing an intense heat wave, with Jharsuguda recording a maximum temperature of 46.6 degrees Celsius.

Odisha continued to reel under blistering heat with Jharsuguda being the hottest town as the mercury touched 46.6 degrees Celsius by 2.30 pm on Thursday. 

Including Jharsuguda, five places witnessed day temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. The other places are Sambalpur at 45.6 degrees Celsius, Hirakud at 44.5 degrees Celsius, Rourkela at 43.8 degrees Celsius and Keonjhar at 41.4 degrees Celsius.
