Dense fog alert for 9 districts in Odisha
Residents across Odisha are experiencing a cold wave condition. However, relief could be in sight. The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar on Friday predicted a rise in temperatures by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius after the next couple of days, offering some respite from the current chill.
Moreover, the Meteorological Department has issued heavy fog alert for today and tomorrow across several districts in the State. These districts are Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Angul and Dhenkanal.
The local police and transport authorities have been instructed to take the required precautions based on the Special Relief Commissioner’s suggestions. The people have also been requested to exercise extra caution while travelling on such days when there is a lot of fog in the morning hour.
