In India, cores of students prepare for the UPSC exam, which is known as one of the toughest exams in the country.
It is aimed at securing prestigious government positions like IAS, IPS, and IFS officers. Failing to crack the exam can be annoying for aspirants.
Recently, a video surfaced showing the emotional turmoil faced by an aspirant and her parents when she was denied entry to the exam hall for arriving late in Gurugram.
The user shared the video on ‘X’ platform with the caption, “Heartbreaking video. 💔🥲 It depicts the plight of parents who accompanied their daughter for the UPSC Prelims exam today, only to find she was denied entry for arriving late. The exam was scheduled to start at 9:30 am, and they arrived at the gate by 9 am, but were not allowed in by the principal of S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya, Sector 47, Gurugram.”
As shown in the video, the aspirant’s mother is seen in an unconscious state while her father wails. Both the aspirant and her parents are visibly distressed with her father crying and cursing the school authorities.
The video went viral on social media, prompting reactions from viewers.
One user commented, “I mean, there are protocols; the exam starts at 9:30, but the gate closes before a certain time. Who do we blame here...”
Another user remarked, “Heartbreaking to see her mother like this... but the girl should have been more careful.” A third user praised, “A good UPSC candidate; she didn’t lose her calm seeing her mother crying, but it’s sad for the crying aunty.”
A fourth user expressed admiration, “Respect for his daughter to be strong in this condition.” A sixth user questioned, “Maybe they were stuck while traveling, so they couldn't reach on time. But are the rules really followed everywhere for everyone?”
In the comments section, many people expressed sympathy for the girl. Some noted that the principal is bound to follow strict rules, and there is no mistake on the principal's part, as people commented on this video.
