Indians are obsessed with delicacies, especially in wedding feasts. In the latest incident, wedding ceremony in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, turned chaotic when a fight broke out between the groom’s and the bride’s families over missing chicken leg pieces in biryani.
The viral social media footage shows guests kicking, punching, and throwing chairs at each other. The conflict began when some baraatis noticed the missing leg pieces in the chicken biryani and raised objections. This led to kicking and punching between the two families, with even the groom joining the fray.
The situation quickly escalated, resulting in the bride’s family beating the groom’s relatives and other baraatis.
Tensions soared to the point where the groom's family initially refused to proceed with the marriage. However, after extensive persuasion led to a compromise, allowing the wedding to continue.
Someone recorded the fight and posted the video on social media, where it quickly gained attention.
Since being posted, the video has gathered over 13K views on X. Commenting on the video, a person wrote, " True foodies."
Another user commented, "Shaadi ho jaati but leg. Pc is important......."
Despite the uproar, no official complaint has been lodged with the police. The local police have stated they will take action if a complaint is lodged.
