Urmila Matondkar’s Amul Poster Has No Links To Kangana Ranaut’s Soft Porn Comment

Kangana Ranaut and Urmila Matondkar’s war of words have escalated beyond imagination. So when an old poster of Amul on Urmila Matondkar became viral, many thought that the leading Indian company released it recently. Many believed that the poster hinted at what Kangana recently said about the Rangeela actress. The poster shows glamorous Urmila in her Rangeela look with the tagline, “Not Masoom anymore? Amul Rangeela Makhan.”

Incidentally, Urmila Matondkar worked as a child star in Shekhar Kapur’s Masoom earlier before returning as a glamorous actress to the silver screen with Ram Gopal Verma’s Rangeela. And that is when the company released this poster.

Amul’s Poster Has Got Nothing To Do With Current Kangana-Urmila Matondkar Controversy

Revealing the facts behind this poster, a user wrote, “This was a Famous Hoarding of Amul in 1995 when Rangeela released. Like in 1994, it was on Raveena with – Tu Cheez badi hai Maska Mast, 1993, it was on Madhuri with – Roti Ke Neeche Kya Hai?. This has nothing to do with any Current Controversy.”

Yet another user wrote, “For context, in 1995, Amul used that headline to signify that the star who featured in Masoom (the film) as a child star, is “not Masoom” anymore. It is the typical Amul-Da Cunha style wordplay and works very well within that context… in *1995*.”

Even director Anurag Kashyap clarified that the poster does not have any relevance to the current controversy. He wrote, “If I am not mistaken, this came out when “Rangeela” released and not now. And it was based on the fact that Urmila was the child actor in “Masoom”. It was meant to be an appreciation. Now misused by trolls after the current scenario.”

Many believe that Kangana insulted a senior actress like Urmila Matondkar with her ‘soft porn comment.’ However, there are many others who believe Kangana Ranaut is absolutely right.

Urmila Matondkar is no more active in movies. She was last seen in a few reality dance shows. The Satya actress joined politics a couple of years ago but left it within a few months.
