Passing a UPSC exam with flying colours is not an easy task. Candidates struggle for years together to clear the Civil Services examination and even then they do not get the expected ranking or post.

However, IAS officer Smita Sabharwal is just 22 years old and is the youngest ever to be posted at the office of a Chief Minister.

That is why her success story needs to be told to those who are aspiring to follow the same path.

Smita Sabharwal cracked IAS in the first attempt

According to DNA India, Smita cracked the exam in her first attempt and that too with good rank. At 22, she is the youngest female IAS officer in the country apart from of course being the youngest IAS officer to work in the office of the CM.

She got AIR 4 during the UPSC exam in 2000. Serving the nation runs in her family as her father is also a retired Army colonel.

She basically comes from Darjeeling, West Bengal. But after completing his service Smita’s father Colonel Pranab Das decided to settle in Hyderabad where she completed her schooling at St Ann's.

Later on, she completed her bachelor’s in commerce from Hyderabad’s St Francis College. She was a class topper in 12th and is very famous on social media. She is both intelligent and beautiful and hence every young IAS aspirant wants to follow in her footsteps.

Smita Sabharwal calls herself an “Army brat” and has lakhs of followers on Twitter. She is highly popular on social media as a people’s officer.

Since her posting a couple of years ago, the young IAS officer has worked in different places in Telangana, including Vishakhapatnam, Chittoor, Karimnagar, and Warangal.
