In a bizarre incident, an IAS officer was left stunned after he received a mere Rs 20 refund after cancelling his flight tickets worth Rs 13,820. His story has left internet in shock after he shared it on Twitter.

Taking to Twitter, IAS Rahul Kumar shared how he got just Rs 20 in return after cancelling his flight ticket, all thanks to convenience pay, cancellation charges, cost to the airline, and more.

As per the ticket, the airline fare is around Rs 14,158 while the GI Convenience Fee is around Rs 800 making it a total of Rs 13,820. However, after a deduction of E-Coupon worth Rs 1138, Kumar had paid Rs 13820 in total.

However, after cancelling his ticket, a total of Rs 11800 was deducted as airline cancellation fee while he was charged with Rs 1200 as GI cancellation fee leaving him with just Rs 20 as refund.

Sharing his story, the IAS officer hilariously wrote, “Pls suggest some good investment plans for my refund.”

Since being shared on Twitter, the post has garnered over 578.2K views and thousands of likes and hilarious comments from fellow Twitter users.
