Teachers assign holiday homework to children and it is a common practice in many educational institutions. Assigning holiday homework can reinforce learning and prevent students from forgetting what they learned. Moreover, this practice can also encourage students to develop good habits and mitigate the effects of learning loss. However, not all teachers agree with assigning holiday homework as they think it may interfere with students' relaxation and rejuvenation time. Well, recently a video of a mother has taken the internet by storm in which she is seen venting out her irritation at teachers for assigning holiday homework to her child.

In the viral video, as it seems, the woman is enraged about the amount of homework and projects assigned to her child during the holidays. Further, she asserted that teachers are aware assignments will be completed by parents instead of children.

In the video, she is heard saying, “Teachers are aware that the projects and homework assigned to children will actually be done by their parents. They know this and do it on purpose to trouble parents. This ruins our vacations as well."

She further adds, "Teachers know that children won’t be able to do such projects and assignments and parents will ultimately have to complete them. We are working on their projects while the children are playing. I urge teachers to assign homework to children that they will be able to do themselves instead of involving their parents.”

Well, the video has left the internet divided. While several agreed with what the woman says, others that parents should encourage children to complete their homework themselves.

Agreeing with the woman, one user wrote, "This problem is real. The 4th standard girl in my neighbourhood has got homework to make a PPT presentation about generations of computers. And the school assumed that all the 200-300 students of 4th Standard have a Computer at home and know how to use PPT. I am making her project.” (sic)

However, another user, supporting the practice wrote, "I found holiday homework fun. My parents never got involved in any of them." (sic)

“Nope. Parents are doing this to children. They need to inculcate a sense of responsibility in children to do their own work. Providing assistance is okay but parents should not do the project work. Let the child suffer once for incomplete work and face consequences. They will learn,” commented another user.
