Changing traditions: Groom wins heart with his immense respect for bride

Seeking blessings by touching the feet of elders is nothing new in the Hindu religion. Indian weddings are all about several rituals and traditions that are in vogue since ages. Both bride and groom touch the feet of their elders after they are pronounced as husband and wife to start their new life with the good wishes and blessings of elders. 

According to Hindu culture, a man is considered a god by his wife. So, traditionally, brides touch the feet of their husbands and seek blessings. 

However, time is changing and so are traditions. Several age-old rituals are waning with time. Certain other rituals are also being practiced more frequently.

As seen in the video, as per tradition, the bride bows down to touch the feet of the groom in the presence of their family members. The groom also puts his hand on the bride’s head as a mark of blessing.

Though this is not a traditional practice, a groom touching the feet of his wife is considered a mark of respect. Such action of the groom has won the hearts of netizens. They showered love and appreciated the groom’s gesture.
