Amidst the strained relations between India and Canada over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar and the subsequent statement of the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau of alleged links of agents of the Indian government in the murder, ‘Canadian Pappu’ has been trending on X (Twitter).
While ‘Canadian Pappu’, referred to Justin Trudeau, continues to trend, netizens have found some unique similarities between Rahul Gandhi and Justin Trudeau. Social media users have come up with some clips claiming that the Congress leader often follows the PR strategy of the Canadian Prime Minister.
Some netizens even shared some similar PR stunts carried out by Gandhi and Trudeau over the years. Reportedly, the Canadian PM gave a ‘quick lesson’ on quantum computing during his visit to Waterloo.
And, years later, the Congress leader was reported to address a gathering on Artificial Intelligence in the US. However, later, the report was denied.
Trudeau is seen as a young leader and one of the ‘fittest’ politicians. A picture of him doing padwork in the boxing ring was once captured.
Later, a report came claiming that Rahul Gandhi is a ‘black belt’ in Aikido. Besides, the AICC leader is apparently a national shooting champion.
Trudeau once wowed the world with his pet dog. He also took to Twitter (X now) and wrote, "#tbt to the little one meeting our newest arrival a few months ago. Say hello to Kenzie."
Around a year later, Rahul Gandhi also revealed about his pet. He shared a video on Twitter and wrote, "Ppl been asking who tweets for this guy..I'm coming clean..it's me..Pidi..I'm way 😎 than him. Look what I can do with a tweet..oops..treat!"
In 2016, one Quebec woman expressed her desire to meet Justin Trudeau for her 120th birthday.
And, in 2017, Rahul Gandhi randomly tweeted birthday greetings to a 107-year-old woman, the grandmother of a Congress supporter. Rahul also reportedly gave a ‘big hug’ to the lady who expressed a desire to meet him.
