Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj was fined 20 percent of his match fee and earned a demerit point for his fiery send-off to Travis Head during the recently-concluded second Test against Australia in Adelaide.

As per reports, Siraj first lost his cool a day before when Marnus Labuschagne pulled out at the last minute. As a result, Siraj was forced to stop while bowling. Subsequently, he lost his cool and threw the ball back in anger to Labuschagne who explained the reason.

Meanwhile, a man with a ‘beer snake’ was found walking behind the sight screen. The man has been identified as 21 year old Lachie Burtt. He was responsible for the distraction. He had put in a lot of effort to make the beer snake. He collected as many as 250 empty cups and spent a whopping 2750 Australian dollars, which is around Rs 2.33 lakh.

Burtt was present in the stadium with his seven friends, who put in hours of effort to get the snake going. The beer costs 11 dollars each, making the prank an expensive affair. Notably, the ‘beer-snake’ is very common during cricket matches in Australia.

In response to the distracting incident, Burtt was quick to apologise for his actions to Labuschagne.

“I didn’t really have time to stop and think what I was doing right now and what the effects were going to be because of it. I did feel a bit silly, it wasn’t the right thing … sorry Marnus,” said Burtt during an interaction.
